Patricio Urbi, 89 of Newark & Santa Rosa, California, passed away on 1/25/2014 in Magsingal ILocos Sur, Philippines.
Patricio is survived by wife, Carolina Renol, Children: 1. (daughter) Patria R. Aguilar & Joe Aguilar, 2. (daughter) Cecilia Renol Urbi Hussey & C. Wayne Hussey, 3. (son) Patricio R. Urbi, Jr. & Renee Dutra Urbi, 4. (son) P. David R. Urbi & Lynne F. Urbi, 5. (son) Edward R. Urbi & MiAe Kang Urbi, 6. (daughter) Percelita Renol Urbi Padilla & Marlone Padilla and 7. (daughter) Fe Ann R. Urbi Gonzalez & Ernie Gonzalez.
Grandchildren Melissa J.Aguilar, Joaquin U. Aguilar, Ryon U. Aguilar, Codie Jeanne Hussey Wallace, Kaitlyn Hussey, Elijah Dutra Stevenson, Julien Makana Dutra Urbi, Michael David Urbi, Benjamin R. Urbi, Tina Marie Urbi Nicholson, Anthony Edward Urbi, Nia Cummings, Andrew T. Padilla, Brandon L. Padilla, Chance Urbi, Jocelyn Urbi, Daisy Gonzalez and Great-Grandchildren Kyle Nicholson, Rylen Cummings and soon to be baby . Brother-in-Law Frank Pichay & Family, Sisters-in-Law Jovita Urbi & Family and Francis A. Urbi & Family.
Patricio is preceded in death by his parents: Leon & Simplicia; brothers: Rizalino & his wife Jacinta, Martin & his wife Rosalina, Alphonso, and Cosme; and sister: Victoria Urbi Pichay.
Patricio was born in Magsingal ILocos Sur, Philippines to Leon & Simplicia on March 17, 1924. He met Carolina 1945; they courted each other for 5 years. He married Carolina F. Renol on September 14, 1950 in Zambales San Narciso Philippines. He graduated from Chabot Jr College. He worked as a UNION Warehouseman for several union companies: MJB, NESTLE, Colgate/Palmolive to name a few for over 35 years. He was a veteran of World War II, Korean War and served in the US Navy and was awarded National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal & Ribbons, Good Conduct Medals I-V, and Naval Occupation with ASIA Clasp. He was involved in San Narciso Assoc., one of the founding fathers of the Magsingal Association of Northern California, Santa Rosa Filipino Association. He was a Jack of all trades.
Pallbearers will be Patricio R. Urbi, Jr., P. David R. Urbi, Edward R. Urbi, Frank Pichay, Leo Urbi, John Viloria, & Franco Urbi.
The family of Urbi wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Jeffrey “Epong” Urbi & Family, Francis A. Urbi, Miriam Urbi, Jovita Urbi and all those who loved our Dad.
On Friday, 2/14/2014 Visitation will be held from 4-8pm with a Rosary beginning at 5:45pm, and a Vigil beginning at 6:30pm, all at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, California 94536.
On Saturday, 2/15/2014 a last Viewing will begin at 9:30am and Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am at St. Leander Catholic Church, 550 W. Estudillo Ave., San Leandro, California, 94577 with Father John (of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Fremont) officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 26320 Mission Blvd., Hayward, California 94544.
