Obituary For Joao Moreira
Born December 7, 1935 in Sao Jorge, Azores, and entered into rest on January 12, 2014 in Fremont, California at the age of 78. Devoted husband of 51 years to Maria Moreira of Fremont. Beloved father of Grace Silva (Joe) of Twin Falls, ID, Lilia Carreiro (Marcelino) of Fremont, Paul Moreira (Natal) of Fremont, Maria Gaspar (Tomas) of Manteca, John Moreira (Carla) of San Leandro, and Lisa Melo (Rui) of San Jose. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, from 5-8pm with a Vigil at 7pm at Fremont Memorial Chapel, 3723 Peralta Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 18, 9am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 37891 2nd St., Fremont, CA 94536. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.
