Daniel Carvalho, a kind and gentle man of 98 years, was called by Jesus and reunited with his beloved wife of 75 years in heaven. He was the father of Ronald Carvalho (Carolyn), Robert Carvalho, Bobbye Koeper Nicholson (Blair), five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition, he is survived by Albert Pagan (brother-in-law), Barbara Pagan (sister-in-law), Armenia Broff Gifford (sister-in-law), Bill Gifford (Brother-in-law), many nieces and nephews. Born in Kahuku, Oahu, he lived the Hawaiian dream. He was a Pearl Harbor Civil Service survivor and shared many interesting stories of December 7, 1941. He was a fabulous athlete, bicycle racer, a short stop for an inter-island semi-pro team, and had a deep love for the game of baseball. The highlight of last year was a trip to Hawaii to attend a wedding and family reunion. For those who knew him were blessed and those who did not, missed meeting this wonderful man with a huge heart. Rest in peace Dad, you will truly be missed, until we meet again, Aloha.
